These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of exclipse.com (the "Site") and the purchase of products from Exclipse ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Products

We sell certified solar eclipse glasses designed for direct solar viewing, supplied with documentation referencing ISO 12312-2:2015. Product images are indicative; minor variations in print or packaging may occur.

3. Orders and acceptance

An order placed via the Site is an offer to purchase. The contract of sale is formed when we send the order-confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example in case of incorrect pricing, suspected fraud, or unavailability of stock; any payment taken will be refunded in full.

4. Pricing, currencies and tax

Available currencies and the total amount charged are shown at checkout. Taxes, duties, and currency treatment depend on the order, customer status, destination, and applicable law.

For business customers, VAT treatment depends on the customer’s status, valid tax information, transaction type, destination, and applicable law. The tax treatment for an order is shown at checkout or confirmed in the applicable quotation or invoice. We do not guarantee that VAT will be recoverable or deductible by the customer.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by the payment provider displayed at checkout. Available payment methods may depend on the customer’s location and the transaction. The applicable currency and total amount charged will be shown before the order is submitted.

6. Shipping and fulfillment

Fulfillment origin, carrier, dispatch estimate, duties, customs treatment, and delivery terms depend on the destination, available inventory, and order requirements. The applicable shipping information will be displayed at checkout or confirmed before order acceptance.

International shipping is available to selected destinations.

7. Consumer withdrawal

For eligible consumer orders, the customer may withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods, subject to applicable legal exceptions. The customer must notify us within the withdrawal period and return the goods within 14 days after giving that notice.

Unless we agreed to bear the cost or failed to provide the required advance information, the customer is responsible for return shipping for a change-of-mind withdrawal.

Any required refund, including the cost of standard outbound delivery where applicable, will be issued within 14 days after we are informed of the withdrawal. We may withhold the refund until the goods are returned or the customer provides evidence that they were sent back. These change-of-mind provisions do not limit the customer’s rights regarding defective or non-conforming products.

8. Defective products

Please notify us of damaged, defective, or incorrect products as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate and assist. This notification request does not limit any mandatory statutory rights, remedies, or applicable legal-guarantee period.

9. Warranty and conformity

Consumers retain any mandatory statutory rights and remedies for defective or non-conforming goods under applicable law. Any additional warranty terms for business-to-business orders are stated in the applicable quotation or written agreement.

10. Safety disclaimer

Exclipse glasses are intended solely for direct eye viewing of the sun. Inspect each pair before every use and discard immediately if scratched, torn, punctured, or altered. Never use eclipse glasses with cameras, phones, binoculars, telescopes, or any other optical device unless that device is specifically rated for solar viewing. Supervise children at all times. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for misuse of the product contrary to these instructions.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under EU or national law. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount paid by the buyer for that order.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including the Exclipse name, logo, product designs, photography, and text — is owned by Exclipse or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce or use any content without prior written consent.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rights available under the laws applicable to the consumer, including mandatory rights available in the consumer’s country of habitual residence. For business-to-business orders, any additional governing-law or jurisdiction terms may be stated in the applicable quotation, invoice, or written agreement.

14. Dispute resolution

Consumers may have access to an alternative dispute-resolution body where applicable. Information about recognized consumer dispute-resolution bodies is available from the European Commission at:

Availability and eligibility depend on the customer’s country and the nature of the dispute.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order applies to that order.
